Clinical research at Dognosis

Our clinical study
program.

We run clinical studies across hospitals and community screening camps in India, working to detect cancer earlier, when it is most treatable. In partnership with clinicians and screening programs, we are evaluating a simple, non-invasive test in studies enrolling thousands of participants.

Registered clinical studies

This is clinical research . The test we are studying does not replace your normal check-ups, and a result is not a diagnosis. A doctor confirms any finding.
Taking part is voluntary, and you can stop anytime.

Clinical research at Dognosis

A rigorous, registere research
program.

Our studies evaluate whether a non-invasive, breath-based test can help find cancer earlier, used alongside standard care. The program is registered and ethics-approved, runs across hospitals and community screening camps in Karnataka, and is supported by a dedicated, regulated central laboratory. We work in partnership with clinicians and screening programs, and publish our findings openly.

Recruiting

FirstAlert

Early detection & recurrence monitoring

FirstAlert tests how accurately BreathEasy detects many types of cancer, compared with standard screening and diagnosis. It runs across three groups of people over three years, to see whether a breath test can flag cancer earlier and more easily than today's methods.

Who it's for

Adults 18+ at higher risk, pre-biopsy, or post-cancer treatment

Visits

One, or several if monitoring recurrence

Where

Hospitals & screening camps, Maharashtra & Karnataka

Who can join

  • Higher-risk adults coming for routine cancer screening
  • People about to have a biopsy for a suspected cancer
  • People who finished cancer treatment and want to watch for any return

SANKET

Community screening study

SANKET is a community, camp-based study run with screening partners. It tests whether offering a breath pre-screen at camps helps find cancers at an earlier, more treatable stage than usual care. SANKET is part of the FirstAlert programme

Who it's for

Adults 45+, higher risk, no cancer symptoms

Visits

One at the camp, plus 6 & 12-month check-ins

Where

Community screening camps with our partners

Who can join

  • You are 45 or older and have no cancer symptoms
  • You use tobacco, or a close relative has had cancer
  • You are attending a partnered screening camp

Who should not take part right now, and what it costs

How the test works

From your breath to a clear result.

Our bodies release tiny scent molecules in breath. Cancer can change that scent. We pair the remarkable nose of trained dogs with technology to read the signal.

You give a breath sample

Breathe normally into a soft, single-use mask for about ten minutes. That is the whole test.

Canine olfaction reads it

At our lab, trained detection dogs with a gentle wearable sensor smell your sealed sample. You never meet the dogs.

You get a clear result

Our software turns their response into a simple result: a signal detected, or not. A signal means look closer, not a diagnosis.

After your result

What happens once we have your result.

Your sample gives a clear result: a signal detected, or not. Here is where each one leads. A signal means we look closer together, not that you have cancer.

Your breath result

A calibrated risk score: signal detected, or not detected

Not Detected

Carry on as usual

Most people get this result. Keep up your normal health check-ups. No extra tests are needed unless your doctor advises otherwise. If you are in a follow-up group, we will still check in at your scheduled visits.

Signal detected

We help you look closer

1

We confirm it

We repeat the breath test under careful conditions to be sure the signal is real.

2

We reach out

Our research team contacts you, and can arrange a repeat sample at home if that is easier for you.

3

You see a doctor

You are referred for a clinical check and the right tests, such as imaging or a biopsy, to find out what is going on.

4

A clear answer

The doctor confirms cancer or rules it out. Either way, we stay in touch and keep supporting you.

A signal is not a diagnosis. Many signals turn out not to be cancer. The aim of looking closer is simple: to find out early, either way, when there are the most options.

For hospitals & screening partners

Bring breath-based screening to your patients.

We partner with hospitals, oncology centres, and community screening programmes to add BreathEasy as a non-invasive pre-screening layer. We bring the science and the logistics; you reach more people, earlier.
